Heavenly chocolate mousse with hazelnuts
I love eating desserts and that’s why I like to have myself surprised whenever I’m going out for dinner. Preferably I order all sorts of difficult desserts which I can’t make myself. At home I also like to make desserts, most of time I choose a classic one like tiramisu or this heavenly chocolate mousse. The chocolate mousse is surprisingly easy and has a rich chocolate taste with a hint of liquor. It’s the ideal Netflix partner. In case you want to make this for you kids, you can leave out the alcohol.
What do you need for 2 big portions?
- 100 grams of pure chocolate (+70%)
- 2 eggs
- 30 grams of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of Tia Maria
- 70 ml of cream
- 20 grams of hazelnuts
How to make heavenly chocolate mousse
Melt the pure chocolate au-bain marie. Separate the eggs and whisk the egg whites until completely stiff, you need to be able to hold it over your head.
When the chocolate is completely melted, let it cool off for about 2 minutes and then mix it with the egg yolks. Add the sugar and Tia Maria and continue mixing. Add the cream and mix again. When there is a lovely chocolate mixture, carefully add the whipped egg whites and mix manually with a spoon. Keep the mousse fluffy by mixing it completely but don’t overdo it. Divide the mousse between 2 bowls and leave it in the fridge for 1 hour.
