#TacoTuesday: tacos with grilled tuna

Tacos: they are very loved at my home and that’s the reason why I try to make as many variations as possible. Today I made these tacos with grilled tuna; delicious and delicate because the flavors are quite subtle. A sort of mix between Asia and Mexico. By all means, try them yourselves and let me know your thoughts!

What do you need for these tacos (for around 3/4 persons)

  • 1 x basic recipe for tacos
  • 2 avocados
  • 3 spring onions
  • 300 grams of fresh tuna
  • 2 tablespoons of (gluten free) soy sauce
  • 80 grams of lamb’s lettuce
  • 2 limes
  • sesame seeds (I used a mix of white and black seeds)
  • a bunch of fresh coriander

How to prepare these tacos with grilled tuna

Start by making the basic recipe for tacos. On some days I prepare them earlier during the day and heat them in the microwave when having dinner.

Then go on with slicing the avocados and spring onion into small pieces.

Use a pan with a drop of oil (sesame, sunflower or a light olive oil) in it. Grill the tuna shortly on both sides, about 45 seconds per side. Pour at the end the soy sauce over the tuna and then take it out. Slice the tuna.

Prepare your tacos with grilled tuna by starting with a layer of lamb’s lettuce, then add some slices of avocado, the spring onion and a few pieces of grilled tuna. Squeeze a bit of lime juice on top of the tuna and garnish with the sesame seeds and coriander.

Tip: if you’d like some extra, you can also add some chickpeas.
